In order to ameliorate the constraints, pains and stress of patients and their relatives, staff and the entire hospital community in getting adequate and satisfying service delivery, the management team of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH) ably led by the Chief Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer (CMD/CEO) Prof. Reuben A. Efiediyi recently commissioned ISTH Medics+ Building housing the ISTH Fast Track Pharmacy an alternative to the main pharmacy and General Stores. In a brief address, the CMD/CEO said the rationale behind the project is to see to the pains and plights of our patients, staff and community populace in getting prescribed drugs and medications easily without stress or struggles.
Prof. R.A Efiediyi thanked God for the success of the project and its completion in a very short time stating that the annex will be serving as an alternative to the main pharmacy of the hospital. In order to promote accountability and transparency, the CMD/CEO stated that sales made from 24th February – April, 2025, a space of two months recorded over ₦52,197,924 (Fifty‑Two Million, One Hundred and Ninety‑Seven Thousand, Nine Hundred & Twenty‑Four Naira). While goods in stock cost ₦125,484,944 (One Hundred & Twenty‑Five Million, Four Hundred & Forty‑Eight Thousand, Nine Hundred & Forty Four Naira), he further explained that about ₦47,700,000
