   • Respect the privacy of other patients by not accessing or sharing their personal or medical information.

   • Follow staff instructions regarding photography or recording—no images or videos may be taken without explicit permission.

3. Safety and Security

   • Wear your identification wristband at all times while on hospital premises.

   • Do not bring weapons, illicit substances, or unauthorized equipment into the facility.

   • Report any safety concerns (e.g., spills, obstructed passages, security issues) to the nearest staff member immediately.

4. Infection Control

   • Observe hand hygiene protocols: sanitize or wash hands upon entering and leaving patient care areas.

   • Wear masks or other protective gear when instructed, especially in high-risk wards or during outbreaks.

5. Timeliness and Cooperation

   • Arrive on time for scheduled appointments and procedures; notify us promptly if you need to reschedule.

   • Provide accurate medical history and inform staff of any changes in your condition.

6. Personal Belongings

   • Keep valuables to a minimum; ISTH is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

   • Ensure personal items (e.g., glasses, hearing aids) are clearly labeled with your name.

7. Smoking, Alcohol, and Drug Use

   • ISTH is a smoke-free campus. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas.

   • Consumption of alcohol or non-prescribed drugs on hospital grounds is strictly prohibited.

8. Visitor Guidelines

   • Observe visiting hours and limit the number of visitors as posted.

   • Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
